The family JD have been nursing an old Toyota 1989 Corolla for many years now; in fact it has been Mrs J’s car for years, pre-marrage in fact. We were hoping it would last until we got around to leaving the UK for pastures Canuck. Alas it wasn’t to be.
On Sunday the exhuast started to fall to pieces, it was the last straw. Old faithful just had to go as it had ceased to be faithful. Monday night we scoured automart et al and had arguments over how much money to spend.
I was siding on UK-P 2000, Mrs J on UK-P 3000. We settled on a Matiz for her for the matrimonial joy inducing figure of 2495. When we saw the car on Tuesday we argued the poor chap down to 2200. Huzzah a newer car.
I hope the thing lasts as personally I would never have gone for a Matiz. If you want cheap and long lasting buy a Toyota. I’ll give you a description of the Matiz later.
