The passing of the holiday means I’m another day nearer going back to work. This is a bad thing.
Aside from the passage of time, that I seem unable to stop, it’s been a pretty good day. Watched one of the DVD’s I got Mrs JD; along with clothes. Cooked out first Christmas meal together too.
For you see, dear reader(s), this is the first Christmas we’ve spent alone. Normally we’re with the inlaws but we decided to have our own family Christmas this year. Worked pretty well. Had a very nice meal. Little sausages and everything. Wrapped in bacon they were. Mmm.
We’ve been married four years, together eight years. See, that time thing just keeps on trucking. C’mon back, smokey.
As for the whole funeral thing, went as well as these things can be expected to go.
Kept an eye on my mum, looked after Eddie ‘I’m 81 next month’ as no other bugger was.
