In England DIY is a noun

From a dull weekend dept:

Had a busy weekend decorating. Painted the computer room on Saturday. On Sunday my parents came over and my dad fitted some odd light fittings in the downstairs bathroom and a couple of other jobs. I used his power washer to clean the outside of the house and my two cars.

Odd thing is I get a call from my sister a couple of hours after my parents have arrived back at there home. She says ‘So you’re getting the house ready then?’

She has two kids, been there, done that.

So I sit here, in a freshly painted room, typing when I should be in bed. Adios.

On a technical aside I’ve made a few aestetic changes to the blog:
A clearer rollover colour, orange is such an underrated colour (giggle)
Darker colours, especially on the banner, had to alter the logo to fit in
Solid lines everywhere, no more dots
Smaller font size. Harder to read but nicer to look at, that’s the ticket
Removal of the Poll option, it always looked tacked on to me. Because, in fact, it was tacked on
