Back in the days of yore, when the PS1 ruled the earth, Sony released a Joystick by Asciiware. It sta;ked through the joystick jungle like a beomoth, dominating with an iron button press, devouring other joysticks at will.
It’s because of the greatness of this Joystick (capitalised) that I have purchased a PS2 to USB converter for my PC. The ingenius device, witnessed here in the top left of the image, shall bring joy to mame:
The sad thing is this joystick doesn’t seem to be sold anymore, not even on ebay, the junk yard of the net. It’s one of the greatest joysticks ever made for fighting games or shooters. Get one if you can.
I mourn the passing of one of mother natures greats, the Asciiware Joystick. Hats off Gents.
In a strange aside this entry has taken me some five and a half hours to write. The first version crashed when I opened a PDF file in another tab and it killed the whole of firefox. So I chatted on IRC for a bit, wrote a bit, cleaned the house, wrote, cooked chilli, started to write and Mrs JD came home. Ate, chatted and finally finished this small post.
