Today was spent moving my Gas and Elecricity suppliers. I only make note of this because of the gem of a quote from one of the four, yes four, companies I had to speak to get the required information to complete the move.
I’m on the phone to Powergen, my now ex gas and electricity supplier:
“We don’t have that number, sir.”
“You’re my supplier though.”
“Yes, but to get that number you need to phone Powergen.” I paused for a second while the huge WTF flapped by.
“Which company am I speaking to again?”
“Powergen.” She said somewhat falteringly, just so I really understood what she was saying I had to ask, I just had to.
“And you want me to call who?”
“Powergen.” I think her call centre script had gone mad, but like the little trooper she was trained to be she was following it to the letter.
