I’ve been thinking, as I sit here plotting, who I write like. It’s not quite me yet, though I’m sure it will be given time.
Sci-Fi: Early William Gibson crossed with Michael Marshall Smith, with Isaac Asimov, the old school, looking over there shoulders; critiquing every idea and phrase that isn’t hard enough or filled with robots. A childhood of Asimov/Hienlen and so on ruined me :)
Serious/Urban Fantasy: A mix of Charles De Lint and Terri Windling with the visuals of Brian Froud, after all those three go hand in hand.
Light Fantasy: No escaping the influence of Terry Pratchett or Douglas Adams. It’s better to keep away from Pratchett though, he’s pretty distinctive in terms of style, and if you fall following him you fall hard. Adams though is a lot of fun, and easily crosses over into the Sci-Fi side.

Well you could always have a sex change, rip of Tolkein, write it up as a children’s book, and become a millionaire.
The best part is it requires absolutely no skill whatsoever \o/
