I don’t know if I’ve ever done just a slice of life, but then how interesting is another persons life. Unless they are doing something utterly unsual, the answer is not very interesting; a case in point:
We woke up late, after going to bed early, so not feeling bad I threw on a t-shirt and emptied and loaded the dishwasher, while Em got herself breakfast before heading up to watch the Big Brother 5 lot in bed. What she sees in that program I just don’t know.
It bored me instantly so I sidled off and played some Diablo II LOD, this lasted about half an hour before thinking I better do something in the real world. Unless I’ve a reason to, I normally don’t bother getting dressed. Mowing is a reason though, so rather than subjecting the neighbours to my naked ass, I got dressed and mooched on out to the garden.
There are huge patches of brown dead moss where the grass used to be, I thought killing off the moss would be a good idea, when the whole grass turned out to be moss it turned out to be not such a good idea after all. After almost two hours or so of raking, spiking and using up all the grass seed I’d bought, I’d managed to do 1/3 of the lawn. This gardening lark is hard work; big up the Titchmarsh.
Lunch consisted of babybel and a yoghurt, even though I’d skipped breakfast I still wasn’t hungry. Em had been cleaning the house while I was out, so we both paused and watched some news. 24 hour news channels are one of mans greatest achievements.
After a bit more house work we had a reading bath together; its pretty good to just settle back into a hot bath together and read. I think we’re getting old :P Getting us both into the bath these days isn’t an easy task considering the size of her belly now, tommorrow marks her twenty third week of pregnancy. Touch PowerBook aluminium, all is going well so far.
After hiring a crane to remove her from the bath I did a quality slink off and got in some Diablo II, Em wandered off to cook dinner. What will I do this evening? Eat for a start, I’m pretty hungry now. After that, well if Big Brother is on the TV then maybe a bit more Diablo II…
