Here’s a list of all the Secret of Mana games, the Japanese name for the series is Seiken Densetsu. The confusion in this series comes from the different names and numbers Square used for the Asian compared to the Worldwide releases.
Seiken Densetsu (1991 Gameboy)
A Final Fantasy Adventure
“Seiken Densetsu” translates in English to “Legend of The Holy Sword”
Seiken Densetsu 2 (1993 SNES)
Released in the west as “Secret of Mana”
No longer branded a Final Fantasy game, SoM became Squares big hit, released worldwide to huge sales.
Seiken Densetsu 3 (1995 SNES)
Despite SoMs success Square did not release Seiken Densetsu 3 worlwide. They took some elements from the game and released a poor rehashed version as “Secret of Evermore”. There are now fan translations of Seiken Densetsu 3 and it is good, download it.
Seiken Densetsu 4 (2000 PSone)
Released in the west as “Legend of Mana”
Seiken Densetsu 5: Shinyaku Seiken Densetsu (2003 GBA)
Released in the west as “Sword of Mana”
Seiken Densetsu 6 (2005 PS2)
Squares next major RPG release for the PS2
