Interesting, I used to live in London and my largest expense was rent. As a student there the cost of my rent was larger than my grant. This meant that food, clothing, transport and bills were all something I had to find additional income to cover.
One reason I find this fascinating is I’m looking to move to Canada. Vancouver is a much nicer city than London, in this table of most expensive cities it ranks at 96 [www.finfacts.ie/costoflivingcanada.htm].
So the cost of living is cheaper and it is a nicer city. Go visit Vancouver and see what I mean.
