If you have a modern PC, and could play C&C Generals at a good framerate, then Doom3 will run on your box. No way was I spending money upgrading my PC just for Doom3 so this is good news.
My OC’d 1900 AMD XP, 768 RAM, OC’d ATI 9500 Pro will play it, and play it well, but not at anything like the maximum detail levels and for a snappy framerate probably at a maximum 800×600. Oh well, my PC isn’t anything like cutting edge anymore.
OK, maybe I will buy a 3000+XP CPU when they drop in price enough … but no new GFX card. Honest.
