I watched this the other day and it was pretty disappointing. I liked the first movie, I even bought the DVD. This second Parker adventure is 50% navel gazing, 30% non-essential stuff, 10% plot and 10% action.
I know Spider-Man is more soul searching than flashy X-Men action, but this is crazy. The whole first half of the movie is so downbeat it is annoying. I wanted to slap him. The second half picks things up but the plot-holes prevent it from saving the movie.
This is not as good as Spider-Man 1, if you didn’t love the first, avoid this.
