Casa JD has gone wireless. There was much rejoicing.
By me anyway. This is great as I can wander about with the PowerBook and not sit tied to my old Thompson ADSL modem.
The adsl/modem router by Belkin reaches the entire house, it’s set on the middle floor so it does only need to go through one floor. After fighting with the setup for a bit it’s all working great. I’ve wandered around the house like a Neal Stephenson Gargoyle and discovered a good signal everywhere. So I’m currently in the lounge with Mrs JD watching the Bourne Identity for the first time. It has just reached the part where he opens the Swiz bank vault…
