Decided that I need to be off work now as Emma is due date +3. We went for a walk this afternoon, the whole walk is nice, silent, tree lined and pretty much deserted. We went past the local historic hall (16c?) that the council has deemed to expensive to renovate, but the law will not allow them to knock it down, to make way for something the council would consider constructive. A parking lot, or a McDonalds. As with other fantastic old buildings they have chosen to let it fall down as it costs them nothing.
A few minutes walking down a very narrow English road something startled us, you may have no idea how narrow English roads can get, imagine the gap behind the fridge. A huge conker fell right in front of us, so we spent a few minutes collecting conkers, made us feel like we were 7 again. It was the highlight of the day … sort of. A few hours later Emma’s waters broke.
So the baby is just about fully cooked, and we had to leave for the hospital, I updated IRC as I left:

So off to the hospital for a checkup and, more than likely, be back in a little bit.
