1-19 October this blog has had 7691 hits, on the 19th I did all the promotional work to raise this a little. So over the next nineteen days I will see if this has worked.
In this manner everyone can see if the basic way to promote your blog, Listing, Pinging and RSS, does any good or not. Come the 7th of November we’ll see.
If the number is either under or a little over 7691 then the basic promotion can be considered a failure; at least for a minor established site.
If the number is way over 7691 - lets say 9500 plus, an extra 2000 or so hits - then it can be considered a success. I’ve followed the advice of quite a few different people, amagamated it and done everything listed in my post entitled How to Promote Your Blog For Free.
So this is a genuine, if non-scientific and essentially pointless, nineteen day test.
