Western Digital 160GB ATA 8MB Cache

Bought a new HDD today as my Maxtor 8MB 160GB is dying on its spindle. It creates bad sectors, cross linked files and the drive sometimes has the famed ‘click-of-death’.

The Maxtor I’m replacing is pretty new, had it under two years, yet it is not covered by any Maxtor agreement that i can find. So screw them, I’m buying Western Digital this time.

The price is pretty good from eBuyer, 64 UK pounds. Last time I bought a 160GB it was twice that amount. Progress, eh.
