Ho boy.
I once said that games, and the internet, are time vampires. They are small fry in comparison to having a baby.
Don’t get me wrong, Robyn’s great and way ahead of the development scale. Even though her love of the radiator knows no bounds; strange child. She can copy facial expressions, roll onto her side, make noises (attempts at speech) and ‘pop’ her mouth.
The killer with having a baby is whenever she is awake she needs something doing. Demands attention in some form. Basically dominates your time; this can be entertainment, nappy changing, feeding, burping or calming. This means that time has to come from somewhere else.
Less blog time, IRC and general sitting on one of the computers doing nothing. Yes, I do the latter. Sitting in the computer room is an escape from eveything else, so I even sit at a PC and just do random stuff, such as downloading or random browsing. Such a waste of time.
Finished HL2, almost finished Paper Mario 2. No where near finished on NFSU2 yet. These are the last games for a while (with the exception of Battle for Middle Earth) as I’m going to use game time for other stuff.
Random IRC and download time will be shortened and moved to just prior to sleep. Mrs JD is pushing for a chores rota (oh hell) so things are definatly a changing in casa JD.
