During his Keynote at Comdex 2005 he had numerous technical issues – including another crash. ‘But instead of configuring a custom-designed race car, the computer monitor displayed the dreaded “blue screen of death” and warned, “out of system memory.”‘ When interviewed later by News.com Gates came out with a classic line: ‘There are some new modern-day sort of communists who want to get rid of the incentive for musicians and moviemakers and software makers under various guises.’ So anyone who uses or likes open source, or creative commons, is a communist?
