I’ve been meaning to write ‘Windows to Mac’ guide for ages. There is some stuff out there so it has never been high on my agenda. Unlike backup information on OSX, almost none was around so I wrote a guide for that ages ago. This probably needs a revision by now but here is the link anyway:
Edit: I did a revision of this, changed the layout and some wording for clarity. Done in Apple Pages and exported to PDF.
So until I get around to writing a switchers guide, if I do, this is a good one to read.
Note the comment about dropping folders of the same name onto each other - in windows the folders are merged, in OSX the new folder replaces the old one. THAT is the kind of tip that is worth knowing for switchers and why I rate this write up.
