Updates on a couple of ongoing projects or enteries.
I’ve started to compile the second version of the Top 100 OS X Applications. This will be completed in a couple of days - depending on how long the cold I’m suffering from lasts.
Had an email asking what happened to the mouse living under the dishwasher; It was Maine Cooned. More on that shortly, as I will expand this entry. Back to the Top 100 list now though.
Maine Coons are the largest of the domesticated cats and casa JD has three of them. These cats have some unusual traits that other cats do not have, for example before they drink they pat the water with there paws. They do that in the wild to break ice or clear a gap in a pond. These cats love water. Another unsual trait is they love to thump, as they weigh so much it is pretty effective technique.
It certainly worked on our visitor the mouse. Myself and Fingol, our largest cat, walked into the kitchen to find the mouse looking at us. Fingol stormed over raised up and delivered a puch Ali would have been proud of. Pow. The mouse was out for the count. Before it got mauled by an exuberant and overjoyed two stone cat, that was now acting like a kitten, I wrapped it in a cloth and took it down the garden. When i let it go it looked back at me before it staggered off, as if to say ‘WTF, cats don’t do that! No fair.’
It hasn’t returned.
