I’m not a fan of Internet Explorer. You are aware of that, right? After all I have a ‘Get Firefox’ button at the bottom of this page.
My view comes does not come from an anti-all-things-Microsoft standpoint, it is formed from the fact that IE is utter rubbish. Out of date, insecure, buggy rubbish at that.
I tell you this so that it will come as no surprise when I tell you I never use IE. Ever. If a site doesn’t work in Firefox, I don’t load it; if they can’t be bothered to create standard compliant code then they don’t get my interest or cash. I do the same with flash only sites.
I’ve just had the pleasure (!) of fixing my parents PC, and one test was to load up this site prior to downloading Firefox.
Oops.
All the links are tiny, wee, mini, very very small on IE. To the point of them being unreadable. OK, I should test the site on IE more often. Point taken. I’ll change my CSS code to fix this IE problem later today.
