At my parents right now, so the powerbook is online through the 56k modem of doom. I miss my broadband. I wonder how easy it will be to get broadband in Canada, I guess it depends on the locale. The nearer to Vancouver you are the easier it gets I presume. Another oddness of the move to consider.

Rebuilt my parents PC and the modem had died. Of course the rebuild got the blame, though buying a new modem restored everything to working order just fine. This is why you shouldn’t to computer support for relatives. It was needed though, they were running off XP pre SP1. Eew. Rather than try and patch my way up to SP2 I did a full rebuild and slipstream.

Although after using the powerbook my mum has declared that the next computer they get will be an iBook. Much safer than XP, I’d feel happier with them running on that. Less tech support needed too.
