Canadian Medical Forms Part 2

April 22nd, 2005 · No Comments

The Canadian medical forms have arrived! Again. Yay. No, wait.

We returned to forms to the Canadian High commission a couple of months ago, [Linky] as all three of them contained basic mistakes, errors such as wrong birthdates and names. Makes you wonder what the rest of their records are like.

Second time around and mine is right, as is my wife’s, but my daughters is still wrong. They have one of her middle names repeated twice – the exact same error that we asked them to correct from last time. They did it again!

Considering the amount of money that we’ve paid the Canadian Government you’d think they this basic correction right when they had two months to do it in; but no. Enough with this insanity, time to contact the private medical firm who would be carrying out the medicals and ask if this minor error would stop them or not.

The saga goes on.

Edit:

We’ve had agreement that we can have medicals despite the error on the form, so in a couple of weeks another, in fact the last, hurdle will be overcome. After this, assuming we pass as ‘alive’ then the Canadian High Commission only has one more action to take, issue the VISAS.

Of course then we have to validate them by going to Canada and entering the country not through the Visitors passport control but through Canadian Citizen passport control. Eek.
