Reform the EU, and fast. Nothing is going to stop the EU gelling into a United States of Europe; it has a glacial inevitability much like an Oil transporter and a coastline.

Unless reform comes along this growing up of Europe will be set back again. I’m very pro-Europe, but wasn’t pro-fast expansion and definatly against the CAP.

Blair is tarnished beyond redemption, perhaps by fighting the EU, punching it into some sense, he can buff himself up in the eyes of history – at least a little bit.
