Aircrash in Greece

Personally I won’t set foot on a Boeing – ever. Airbus all the way.

… the last 6 crashes (mechanical failure) with +100 dead has been Boeings and 5 of them been 737s.

This plane had a history of Air Conditioning problems, and had previously made an emergency landing due to this issue. Sounds like a bad plane/poor maintenance.

120 write-offs/6000built=0,02 so the average B737 are 98% safe

Cause is thought to be decompression, water in the oxygen supply froze due to -50C temperature at 36k feet and blocked the supply. They froze, had no oxygen and then hit a mountain at full speed. No explanation has been given for why the piolet wasn’t in the cockpit – going for the oxygen bottle or reassuring the pax?

Air travel scares the hell out of me.
