Driving in Canada Pt 2

August 31st, 2005 · No Comments

You can download the Candian Highway Code in PDF format from:

www.icbc.com/Licensing/lic_utility_resman_drivers.html

Or if you fancy taking online test for British Columbia drivers see:

www.yourlibrary.ca/driving/index.asp

It’s pretty cool, I’m learning the differences between the UK and Canada from these. For example:

A school bus is stopped at the side of the road with it’s lights flashing. In this situation:

a. Car A (Behind the bus) can pass in the oncoming lane when it is clear.
b. Car B (Opposite side of the road to the bus) can continue driving as usual.
c. Both Cars A and B must stop until the bus moves on.
d. A and B are correct.

I was surprised by the answer, I forgot the fundamental difference toward driving there.
