I’ve always wanted my own arcade machine. Always. Ever since playing Space Invaders in the 1970′s, a desire cement by the wonder of Gorf’s voice, Wonderboy, Mario and the abject delight of Space Harrier. Welcome to the fantasy zone! GET READY! Bissful Sigh. I’d love to build my own but alas when it come to power tools (and much more besides) I am, it is sad to say, an inept buffoon. If I were to attempt to build my own arcade cabinet, ragardless of how carefully I followed the many guides on the subject that can be found online, I know that I would end up with a full scale model of the Titanic. I would be affixing the last great propeller only to look up and see an approaching iceberg, no doubt severly shocking my neighbours. It would all end in tears. The alternative to my icy fate would be to buy a complete arcade cabinet. As much as I would love to, I just cannot afford it. Alas, I’m doomed.
