F1 is undergoing a change. Lots of teams have had major changes for the 2006 season, staff livery and names:
Four teams on the current grid – BAR, Sauber, Jordan and Minardi – have applied for name changes.
Sauber will be rechristened BMW Sauber F1, Jordan will become Midland F1 and Minardi will morph into Squadra Toro Rosso.
BAR has yet to reveal what it will be known as now that it is wholly owned by Honda, but the new title is bound to have a closer association with the Japanese car giant.
A new second Honda team has applied to be the 11th team in F1, called Super Aguri Racing. It’s currently unknown if the FIA will allow them to join.
