Books: Douglas Adams, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

Oddly, as much as I have enjoyed Douglas Adams Dirk Gently novels, I had never read all the Hitchhikers books. A trilogy of five parts. So I started again and read the lot, enjoying it immensly; especially as I’d just read the dire Starship Titanic. There Adams’ books, so the plot is secondary to the dialogue, it’s this that makes his novels so good — of course they’d be better if they had a plot but you can’t have everything can you. I won’t sumise, you know the plot — or at least some of it — all I will add is it is worth the uneven ride. The Hitchhiker\'s Guide To The Galaxy The Restaurant at the End of the Universe (Gollancz SF S.) Life, the Universe and Everything So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish Mostly Harmless (Hitch Hiker\'s Guide to the Galaxy) Non Hitchhikers and not reccommended – Douglas Adams\' Starship Titanic: A Novel
