Can it?
What I mean by this question is when someone comes to www.creationrobot.com they look at one static page with links on to the blog section and other forthcoming sections. Ideally without moving my installation of WordPress up one directory.
I’m asking while I’m Googling for the answer. If I find it before you I’ll post again.
Edit:
jackborn.com/blog/installation-for-static-jack/ This has possibilities, or not. Have to give it a new URL to go to, not just the base URL.
www.semiologic.com/software/static-front/ I don’t like the look of this.
http://redalt.com/wiki/EzStatic Nope, doesn’t do what I thought it did.
Looks like there is no simple way to do what I want. Which means hacking the WordPress code, or the htaccess file. Instructions for which are here: codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page

You should try my other plugin, Safe Include. I believe it will do what you want.
