Expose for Windows - Almost

January 31st, 2006 · 2 Comments

If you have used OS X you know just how cool and handy Expose is, I use it every time I’m sat on a Mac. Distressingly I also try to use it when I sit at a PC. Oddly, it doesn’t work for me then and I sink into a pit of tears and depression.

In a bit to prevent this Otaku Software has released ‘TopDesk’, a Expose-a-like for Windows. The drawback? The fools have decided to charge for it.

Damn them. As utterly fantasic as Expose is, it is not for ten bucks.

Damn them. (Moves cursor to edge of screen in XP). Arg!

Hi there, I’m one of the fools from Otaku Software, the developers of TopDesk :).

I ‘d like to think that if something makes your computer easier to use and improves your productivity then it’d be worth a measly 10 bucks. Having said that, I realise that not everyone can afford to splurge on utilities.

Anyway, thanks for posting about TopDesk. If you’d like a free copy of the full version, drop me a line and I’ll sort something out for you..

First, cool name, coolest name, I ought to give you ten bucks for your name alone.

Secondly, Otaku does cool software, TopDesk is cool. It is also Apple’s design. Charging ten bucks for Apple designed Expose on Windows isn’t ‘nice’, define that as you will. Let it be free. Let it fly. You know you want to.
