CR doesn’t work in IE, should I care?

February 5th, 2006 · 4 Comments

CR doesn’t render OK in IE 6, but works fine in every other browser I know about – firefox, opera, safari and shiira for example. So the question is: Should I care that IE 6′s broken rendering doesn’t display my website correctly?

Well … we all know that IE doesn’t comply to any web standards, however, the ignorant masses know this not. Maybe it’s a good way of filtering your readership – decent net folks only ta.

Yes, and no. The majority of the net is stil IE6, but the world moved on a long time ago. IE6 is legacy now.

Perhaps people should be encoraged to move on, one such way is by sites no longer pandering to IE’s faults.

Your site doesn’t seem to do anything … I presume it is still under construction.

Having said all of that, I would like the site to work for all browsers. Tempted to theme hop but it would require work. The last time I theme hopped everything went wrong a couple of days later. Fate forced my back to Rin.

seeing as though ie does dominate the web arena, checking to make sure your page is equally accessible in all the major browsers (including ie) should be practiced. it’s a good habit to design for the masses.
