Distribution of Your Surname in the UK

I have a Celtic surname, Welsh to be precise. While this isn’t so strange, a lot of the English/Welsh/Scots/Irish are Celts after all, my forname means ‘War’, and my surname also means ‘War’.

It explains a lot about my life.

www.spatial-literacy.org has come up with a distribution pattern for UK citizens that have the same surname as you. Unsurprisingly my surname is still mostly in Wales and West England, the most still in Swansea. Link for may name below, link for the search is here.

Your Mosiac type defines your history, your closest affiliation to a specific group of people who defined your name. My surname was defined by Upland Hill Farmers, which explains my love of hills I guess. Which is true, spookily some of the blurb from the Mosiac type rings true as well:
