Great Background Switcher App

February 27th, 2006 · 1 Comment

It’s for Windows only, boo, but this little app is great. Changes your desktop background at intervals you set. Either from a folder on your HDD or – and this is the good bit – a Flickr account/stream.

Then there’s Use Flickr mode. Flickr is a site that allows people from all over the world to upload photographs and tag and organise them as they choose. By integrating John’s Background Switcher with Flickr the possibilities are endless. There are loads of options to specify exactly what sort of images you want to choose from (using tags such as cats, mountains or sunsets) and you can select a single user’s pictures or photo sets (such as your own if you have a Flickr account). It’s one of these things you have to try for yourself so give it a go!
