Is this the first real iPod Video v2 shot? Interesting, a pretty good fake if it isn’t.
This images was just sent to us. It follows the description provided by several rumor sites and also appears to be from the same factory where the iPod pictures last November were taken. Come on 28th!
Update: The serial number appears to read “MB719Z/A†(not M8 as originally thought) and the Chinese characters read “This Sideâ€.

That’s a part #, not a serial #. And Apple has already used that part # for the 10 client version of OS X Server

its been clarified to be a MB part number not M8, ipods are MA so it does fit

well that doesnt look like a great picture to see but this one is better, its bluetooth capable, and has a bigger screen……when i was told about it i didnt think it was possible…..but once i saw this picture at this link……http://cimg.163.com/tech/2004/10/22/200410221629270f906.jpg………i was in awe….to think i just purchased a video….maybe i can return it…lol

That is a rendered/photoshop fake, when it comes to new tech I like photo’s far more than illustrations. This is unsourced and bears all the hallmarks of fakery, like the bluetooth loho and the writing on the upper left.

I think its too early for apple to release a new iPod. The G5 is not that old. Changing the form factor again I think would be damaging for iPod sales given the totally changed the G5 form factor. I think the tablet idea is more likely. But we shall see shortly.

Apple release iPods pretty fast, I think it is more likely to be the iPod video 2 than the Apple tablet PC. Not that I wouldn’t love them to release the tablet …

Or a howto guide on photoshopping this picture. Who knows, who cares. Half the fun of Apple announcements are the photoshopped imagary and rumour mongering beforehand. Some of it is far more inventive than the end products.
Wait till Tuesday, though people are predicting the big announcment is the Intel mini, not the Video iPod 2.
