Micsrosoft’s ad plans in Vista already gaining opposition

February 13th, 2006 · 1 Comment

It’s not out yet and Microsoft is already adding things and causing problems. In this case it could well be an antitrust problem. On boot up Vista will show adverts, only a few hundred million will be seeing those adverts every day. Considering the monopoly of Microsoft on the desktop (Some 90 odd percent of all desktops run Windows) the abuse is pretty clear. You don’t buy an OS for it to run adverts at you, unless the OS is free this us unacceptable.

Another reason not to install Vista.

Yeah, I’m no fan of Apple (:P), but that’s all it takes for me to switch to Apple. If the ads are a part of Vistas, I will not buy a copy.
