Wikipedia has a whole list of applications that install to and run from a USB drive. Allowing you to run all sorts of applications and leave no frontprint.
Though if your work was secure they’d have turned off access to USB ports anyhow …
The apps include eMail, IRC, IM, CD writing and whole OS, such as Knoppix USB. Many more apps are available as well.
