Google has announced the purchase of Writely, that I blogged about back on the 4th Nov 2005.

Writely has some way to go but it is the best web word processor around.

Another Google tentacle unfurls. I think Google could bring Writely on but I’m concerned about the Googlification (nice word eh) of the Internet. The US gov can demand an awful lot from Google, all your email, browsing history and now your documents.

I know the simple answer is not to use all Google products, but is anyone else concerned by Googlification?
