Dead Marios never looked so good.
I saw this piece and had to make it my new background. Beautiful work, even though I don’t condone the killing of hundreds of poor Mario’s. Maybe he is like a cat and every time he dies he is just losing a “life†and not really dying.
Anyway, check out the work of these two artists and enjoy their cool game art.

Don’t you just hate the fact that after 26 years people still haven’t stopped putting Mario on a pedestal? The original title on the NES was a great game, the improvements made with the SNES installment’s took it to new heights but with the variety of games that came along with the PSone and N64 it’s surprising that millions of people didn’t let go year’s ago. How on earth Nintendo can get away with putting the new crap on the shelves is beyond me… When are you people gonna wake up and smell the roses??

You don’t know your gaming history, do you, and Mario games haven’t been on the Playstation.
Regardless of your personal view of ‘Mario’ - a fictional game character - the series has pushed the game industry forward on a few occaisions. Super Mario Bros (Arcade and NES), Super Mario World (SNES), Mario 64 (N64). All three of those changed the gaming landscape, the latter continues to do so years after release.
