This is an amazing achievment, although there is a massive difference between making a one off and getting this to a production line. Is it easy enough to make, what’s the total cost, will growing enough Soybeans do more damage than petrol, is it reliable, and so on. Why aren’t more auto makers experimenting with this sort of thing in public. We should have concept cars running off all sorts of freaky fuels by now.

During auto shop class, the group took a Honda Accord chassis, a Volkswagen turbo diesel engine and a 200hp electric motor, and put together a hybrid electric/biomass car that runs on soybeans.
