France is perhaps the last bastion of social democracy. Man that hurts, even to type it.
It’s almost true, France is standing up to both big business and government, look at issues like McDonalds and DRM that the people of France take on.
Chirac has finally backed down after a week of protests and the French have many reasons to celebrate. One of which is the historically, er, inspiring figure of Liberty Leading the People, Lady Marianne.
