I have one major critique of my iPod. Always have had the same one.
I’ve had an iPod for a long time now, I use it a lot, 5 days a week for at least 2-3 hours a day. It’s been a great workhorse, I’ve even dropped it a couple of times and it’s kept on going just fine. I have a few scratches on it but nothing major.
My bugbear has been when you off your pod, either by the button or charging, it forgets where in the track you were. So when you switch it back on you have to search for ages to find your place again. This is so bad for me because I listen to audio books on my pod all the time, not music.
Of course since iTunes 5 a way around this has existed, select a track, Apple+I, check ‘Remeber Position’. Bingo. Almost anyway, have you spotted the flaw in this? Select a track? What is my audio book has 300+ tracks?! Step in this little script, download and install, highlight all of the tracks you want bookmarkable and go. This script is sexy beyond belief. Why this isn’t a feature in iTunes I don’t know. Tracks should be bookmark enabled by default.
