Pick a colour for your Mac mini - inexpensive too

May 13th, 2006 · 2 Comments

Remember that process to colour your MacBook Pro, you know the one that cost 500 dollars? Well now you can have your Mac mini coloured, and for the bargain price of 69 dollars.

Why the hell you can’t get Apple to do this for you I don’t know.

as much as manufactuers would like to do multi-color, retailers hate it because they a) don’t want to stuck with a non selling color and B) hate to lose a sale just because they didn’t have that one color in stock.

so, if they guess wildly wrong on one color, major overstock to ship back or discount … like who would’ve thought GOLD would the worst selling ipod mini, I think most people would’ve guessed the green … plus consumers say they want something in a color then cahnge their mind.

As long as there’s something like colorwware that will paint your mac or ipod whatever color, you are good to go … or look at Creative with their 10-color mp3 player - still didn’t sell that well - it’s not colrs that made the ipod.

Those are Mac mini’s. Not the iPod. Remember that colours played a part is saving Apple when they came out with the great looking iMac.
