As you regular readers know - fluffles regulars - I’ve finally got around to making a new CreationRobot logo including a new favicon. OK I know it is not exactly original it’s the Soviet star warped over a circle to make is look like a 2D psuedo 3D Soviet pool ball. I was going through lots of Soviet propaganda posters, some of which have fantastically designed imagary, when this idea lept out at me.
What bugs me though is the way browsers hang on to old bookmark icons. Sometimes you get the new one, sometimes the old one. I know how to fix this in FireFox:
Install the delete icons extension from www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showtopic=2596&hl=delete+icons. Give the site permission to install an extension, install, restart Firefox and flush those icons. The icons then rebuild all fresh new and spanky as you revisit sites.
Lazyweb question: Does this issue exist in other browsers? If so what are the fixes?
