Copy Link Text Firefox extension – Ooh speedy linking in Firefox

June 4th, 2006 · 1 Comment

This is such a nice extension to Firefox that I’m actually switching back to Firefox from Camino to use it – this and flash blocking. It copies not only the http of the URL but the link text too, so handy for quickly adding links to text. Why hasn’t a browser thought to add this option by default? Right-click on any web page link, and in addition to Firefox’s default “Copy Link Location,” CoLT puts a “Copy Link Text” and a – Alleluia! – “Copy Link Text and Location” on the context menu. (“Link and Location” places a formatted HTML anchor link and text on the clipboard.)
