Lose weight, the only knowledge you need is this … no tricks, and I won’t charge

This works 100% of the time and it’s impossible to screw up if you can count.

Eat less calories than you burn. or Burn more calories than you eat. Hey it’s a free world, you pick.

Simple and straightforward, see this for all the info you need. The Open Office and Excel spreadsheet is available here.

So now you know already that I did a spreadsheet to help me keep track of calorie intake. Well my average calorie intake a day is now 1460 and if it’s under 1697 then in theory I’m burning a little more than I’m taking in. All good.

If you are interested I offer you these two sites that will also help, the Hackers Diet which describes itself thus:

The Hacker’s Diet, notwithstanding its silly subtitle, is a serious book about how to lose weight and permanently maintain whatever weight you desire. It treats dieting and weight control from an engineering and management standpoint, and provides the tools and an understanding of why they work and how to use them that permit the reader to gain control of their own weight.

The other site I’ll point you is here, it offers very similar advice to my succinct version above, just in longhand.

This is not really a diet; it’s a simplified version of eating awareness training as originally developed by Molly Groger. While her excellent book is currently out of print, you can usually find copies on Amazon and eBay. As with any major lifestyle change, you may want to consult with your doctor beforehand.

Yes this is trite, but it’s all true.
