Deralict London Sites, buildings and lost rivers

August 11th, 2006 · No Comments

Deralict London has a shade over 1000 images of abandoned London buildings in its archives.

This site is obviously not taken to illustrate London at its most beautiful or most successful, The name derelict London is a memorable name for a website though not everything within this site is of derelict areas and everyone has their own definition of derelict……

Before the era of TV London had Theatres galore, the growth of the sterile multiplex did the same for the vast number of cinemas around London. Link

Intrestingly it also documents some of Londons lost rivers, rivers that were not transformed into canals and were enclosed by the giant city, the rivers now run underground. Or in the case of one through a large pipe over a station.

This is a great website, poorly designed but the images are great, go have a look around.
