BBC Micro? Nope, Knight Lore was first on the ZX Spectrum 48K. I still have the the original Ultimate Play The Game large black cardboard box edition. It cost a whopping 8.99 way back when games were 1.99-3.99 each. Oh dear, I’m old.
I’ll try and dig it out and take some shots of it when I get back home tonight.

The game the BBC was invented for was Elite. Ian Bell’s website contains a wealth of Elite games ripe for emulation, you can also place the Spectrum 48K version Elite online here.
