If you have never tried Second Life you may be wondering what the fuss is; it’s hit over a million players now and growing fast as big business moves in. If you haven’t tried Second Life yet, you will soon.

A BBC reporter has posted their first experiences of trying SL and it’s worth a read if you know nothing about it. I’ve had an account for a while but done nothing with it really. I don’t know anyone else in SL and the program is too slow on my Mac.

The Second Life virtual world has recently hit the one million member mark and real world firms are queueing up to establish themselves in the digital destination.
In this log, reporters from the BBC news website technology desk, spend a day in the cyber world getting to grips with the place and its inhabitants.
