Google is starting to consolidate it’s online Application page, the first real step to presenting the combined Google Suite ready for Joe Public. The non technical users who will eventually go to apps.google.com – or whatever it will eventually become – to write a document, email or send photos to relatives.
The ‘simple to use’ Google combined front end is coming, it really is just a matter of time. Edit: Over a year on and Google still hasn’t changed their applications page or combined the applications much further. I still think this is the way they will go. Taking on the dominance of MS Office is no easy task. Google will progress this side of its business and it could well become Microsoft’s largest competitor in the Office application space.
